Are you tired of dealing with bugs and glitches on your Windows 11 operating system? Look no further as Microsoft has released Windows 11 22H2, the first major update since its initial launch in September 2022.
Microsoft has begun the automatic rollout of Windows 11 22H2 to computers currently running 21H2, making it easier than ever for users to stay up-to-date and secure with the latest version of Windows. The company states on its health dashboard, "We are committed to helping Windows users stay protected and productive by utilizing the same approach for Windows 11 as we have with Windows 10, through automatic updates." Even those still running Windows 10 may have already seen the update notification pop up on their screens.
The automatic rollout is a clear indication that Microsoft believes Windows 11 22H2 is free of any major bugs, and users can expect to see a variety of improvements with the update. The Task Manager has been modernized, the Start Menu has been enhanced, drag and drop support has been added to the taskbar, and tabs have been introduced to the File Explorer, making it easier to navigate through your files. Additionally, window snapping has been improved for a smoother multitasking experience.
Despite the release of Windows 11, the adoption rate has been slower than previous versions of Windows. This can be attributed to the higher official hardware requirements and the lack of aggressive upgrade pushing from Microsoft. According to Statcounter, 18% of Windows PCs worldwide are currently running Windows 11, compared to 67% on Windows 10 and 9.86% on Windows 7. The Steam Hardware & Software Survey, which collects opt-in data from computers running the Steam games client, shows Windows 10 at 68% and Windows 11 at 29%. Upgrade to Windows 11 22H2 now for a smoother and more productive experience.
