Are you in search of a premium smartphone with a massive 200MP primary camera, but without the premium price tag? Look no further, as Xiaomi has brought the 200MP camera to the masses with its latest Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
In an event held in India, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 12 lineup, which includes three different models. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ stands out as the most impressive, with its specs and features that justify its price tag.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ boasts a 6.67-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display, providing an immersive viewing experience with its high-resolution and fast refresh rate. The phone is also equipped with a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor with an f/1.65 aperture and OIS, making it perfect for photography enthusiasts. The camera setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro camera.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip, coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and a minimum of 256GB storage. The phone also packs a 4980mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, ensuring that you never run out of power.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ also comes with a range of additional features, including an IP53 certification, IR blaster, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm jack. The phone also supports dual-SIM 5G, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ launches with Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box, and Xiaomi promises two OS updates for the phone, including Android 13. The phone is available in three color options - Arctic White, Iceberg Blue, and Obsidian Black, and is priced at Rs 30,000 ($375) in India before any discounts.
If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is also available, with similar specs as its Plus sibling, but with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor and 67W charging speed. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Pro models go on sale in India starting January 11th, and will also make their European debut in the coming weeks.
