from xiaomiui

Xiaomi's latest operating system, MIUI 14, is now becoming available on compatible phones, with a focus on improved system performance and stability. Among the many new features, 5 lucky models of Redmi and POCO smartphones will soon receive the MIUI 14 update.

The update, which includes the latest security patch and Android 12, is expected to arrive on these models in the second quarter of this year. However, the precise timing is still unknown and will initially be released for Mi Pilots. If there are no issues, it will then be made available to everyone.

The list of smartphones that will receive the MIUI 14 update includes the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and Poco M2 Pro.

One of the main features of MIUI 14 is the ability to finally uninstall system apps that users no longer use. Additionally, the new UI utilizes photon engine technology to simplify the operation of applications and lower power consumption by 22%.

The system's performance has also greatly increased, with a reported 88% increase in system fluency and a 16% improvement in battery usage. Xiaomi data also shows that MIUI 14 uses 23% less space than MIUI 13 despite having enhanced system speed.

The new design of the MIUI interface allows for this improved performance, with faster and more stable operation, and less space consumed. It is important to note that these advancements are only available on devices running the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processors.

Another new feature of MIUI 14 is the "super icons" option, which allows users to add various symbols to the home screen, creating a more engaging theme.
